Applications Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• First point of contact for our customers' technical teams and interface with the development teams
• Technical advice on the camera families, accessories and our software packages (SDKs and APIs)
• Supporting customers with the integration of cameras and optimization of their applications, if necessary also on site
• Processing various support requests from our customers (by telephone or in writing), sales staff and distributors in the pre- and post-sales phase
• Focus on image processing software, camera technology, electrical engineering and optics
• Creation of programming examples and error analyses
• Intensive cooperation with sales, product development and product management with regard to customer requirements and functional requests

Your profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent relevant experience in technical support
• Experience in programming in several languages (C, C++, C#, Python) and in dealing with different operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux, macOS or QNX)
• Know-how in the development of embedded software (e.g. with V4L2, GStreamer, Libargus)
• Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills as well as customer orientation
• German and English language skills (C1)
• Organizational talent and effective time management for simultaneous processing or prioritization of topics
• Motivation for continuous further training in line with our portfolio and our customer service concept
• Willingness to travel locally and abroad (2-4 weeks per year) to trade fairs, customers and other company locations
