NewsCompany News

In 2019, Allied Vision turns 30 and continues its success story with the market launch of Alvium

30 years ago, in spring 1989, Allied Vision Technologies GmbH was founded as Manfred Sticksel CCD-Kameratechnik GmbH in Alzenau near Frankfurt/Main. Since then, Allied Vision has become one of the world's leading camera manufacturers for the machine vision industry with eight locations in Germany, Canada, the USA, Singapore and China and a network of sales partners in over 30 countries.

With the introduction of Alvium, the award-winning camera series for industrial embedded vision, the company is playing a key role in shaping the future of the image processing industry and is adding another chapter to its success story. "With ALVIUM® technology, we have laid the foundation for the successful development of future powerful camera series," says Andreas Gerk, CEO of Allied Vision Technologies GmbH, as he looks optimistically to the future of the company.

Focusing on the user

Allied Vision's product portfolio includes camera technology and imaging solutions for a wide variety of applications, including industrial inspection, scientific and medical imaging and outdoor applications. Allied Vision’s portfolio was strengthened through the acquisition of Prosilica, Inc. (Burnaby, BC) in 2008 and VDS Vosskühler GmbH (Osnabrück, Germany) in 2011. Always with a focus on what counts for the customer, Allied Vision finds solutions for every task - a practice that has made Allied Vision a reliable partner at users' sides to this very day.

Since 2015, Allied Vision is a member of the TKH Group, a Dutch high technology group with a focus on future technologies for image processing and security. "We are proud of what we have achieved so far. With the revolutionary Alvium camera series and as part of a future-oriented technology group, we have the best resources to continue working on realizing our vision for Allied Vision," concludes Andreas Gerk.
